Pet friendly ice melt granules
4 buckets of Ice Melt delivered for £119.99
Every bucket of Ice Melt comes with its own scoop for application. Each container can cover an area of about 350 m2.
- As this product is a concentrate, a large amount is not needed. It is better to put less in the scoop and flick it across the area you want to work with. Just keep repeating this process until you have covered the desired area.
- A good idea is to keep one in the car, one at the front door and the other at the back.
- The final bucket would make someone, anyone, the perfect gift. Show someone you care about them this winter.
Safety is important
Preventing and removing ice from our homes and businesses is important over the winter months to reduce the risks of injury from slips and falls.
The most commonly used substance today is rock salt even though it is highly corrosive and a danger to pets and wildlife.
In the past, there have been very few safe options to use around your home, especially if you are proud of your garden, have pets or have children. That is until now.
EcoGrit Concentrate is here to change all of that. In tests, it starts working faster than any of the competitors. It is eco-friendly,non-corrosive, biodegradable and truly safe to use around plants, children and animals. If ingested, it does no harm and doesn’t require any special handling or storage. Just keep the lid shut and the container in the dry, and the product will be good from one year to the next.
Why no urea?
EcoGrit Concentrate has been designed with both the environment and wildlife in mind. If used in large quantities, it causes no environmental issues, unlike most of our competitors whose “pet-friendly & environmentally friendly” formulas are 100% Urea (also called carbamide which is 46% Nitrogen). Over usage of urea is a disaster waiting to happen, as it causes toxic algae blooms linked to the large scale death of animals. This is done by producing a toxin called domoic acid.
No mess to clean
EcoGrit Concentrate is safe to use in all situations. Unlike rock salt, its granular form breaks down completely so that there is no mess getting walked into buildings or vehicles.
Good value for money
Our product dissolves as it melts snow and ice and creates a deicing layer on the ground that doesn’t re-freeze, even at low temperatures, meaning you don’t need to apply every day.
With a liberal sprinkling, a path can stay ice-free for up to 7 days, depending on conditions.
Since our product is non-corrosive, (datasheet available on the website) it doesn’t damage tarmac, concrete or any of the new materials being used today like resin driveways. It also contains rust inhibitors, creating a protective barrier for any metalwork it comes in contact with.
Changing weather patterns
Our product works at temperatures of at least -20 °C, unlike rock salts which freeze at -7 °C, rendering them useless. Now that weather patterns are changing, we need to change the way we deal with this.
New lower temperatures can cause cars to slide if parked on sloping driveways. This also increases the chance of a vehicle getting stranded on the ice. These are not good situations to have and nobody wants to abandon their vehicle and find their way home, especially at night alone.
Carry the container in the car
- Reduces the chance of getting stranded.
- Stops the car sliding overnight if parked on a slope.
- Gives you the opportunity to help someone else.
- Allows you peace of mind when travelling.
